Twitter starts showing users how many times a tweet was seen
So it looks like the social media giant is rolling out a new feature called “view count” which will show users how many times their tweets have been seen.
Now, according to Twitter’s blog post, the whole point of this feature is to help users “easily see the reach” of their tweets and those on their timelines. Basically, they want to give people a better understanding of how far their tweets are spreading and how much engagement they’re getting.
And here’s how it’ll work: the view count will appear next to the analytics icon on each tweet, so it’ll be pretty easy to see. I’m not sure about you guys, but I’m definitely curious to see how many times my tweets have been viewed. I mean, it’s not like I’m trying to become a social media influencer or anything, but it’ll be interesting to see how my tweets stack up against others.
Anyways, that’s the scoop on Twitter’s new view count feature. I’m sure it’ll be a hit with users and it’ll be interesting to see how it affects the way people use the platform.
